Places of tourist interest - Alora, Spain

Be certain that although Alora is a small village, it is certainly a place where you can enjoy your holiday and the village provides you more than what you expect during your stay. Comfortable stay is ensured by the numerous apartments and hotels and your choicest food by the restaurants which line up at many places and the beautiful environment and many places of tourists importance which provides the much needed relaxation to body and mind for you and your family. These are unique features of Alora, the small village located at a distance of about 40 kilometers from Malaga.

The lady of incarnation church:

Also called as the Parish church which is believed to have been built in the 17th century is one of the major attraction for the tourists. This church is built in the traditional Mannerist design and this is considered to be the third largest church of Malaga. The church is popular for its architectural beauty and technicalities. The large dome supported by the huge columns and the beautiful aesthetic beauty of the exterior of the church and the lavishly decorated interiors are some of important aspects of this church.

Lady flower chapel:

According to historical records, the chapel was built in the 16th century which has the beautiful image of 'Virgin of the flowers'. This is one of the most religious places for the local people here and it receives large number of visitors throughout the year. The chapel is also known for its beautiful architectural work.

The town:

Interestingly, the main part of the town is located on the top of a hill. The town has a church and also a cemetery. Interestingly, the cemetery was considered as inaccessible and many dynasties including the Moors had failed to occupy it. It is believed that the Ballad of Alora would prevent such occupation by any ruler and this message has been carved on the tablet available in the cemetery. The Arab castle:
